has a comparison table which includes a filter for finger rests and typically lists as "Thumb", "Pinky", "Thumb and Pinky" or "None": Hopefully I can get a larger and more comfortable pinky rest 3D printed. The way the palm rest latches, I think it'll be basically impossible to get a decent 3D printed one. I want a different pinky rest and palm rest. And because of the overall shape of the mouse, if I put my palm all the way forward, I end up putting a lot of weight on the back, causing the mouse to tip backwards. Which isn't that comfortable because of how awkward the palm rest shape is. The scroll wheel is so far forward that I can't really reach it until I set the palm rest to all-the-way-forward and hold it in a full-blown palm grip. I can fit my ring ringer and pinky finger on it if I contort them to fit, but it's not my preferred grip. I'm currently using the most "full" pinky rest, and it's much too small. I tried the options, and the lowest option is too high, yet with no palm rest it's too low. I even found that the hex-key was rubbing on my palm so I also removed that. I adjusted it to feel more comfortable, and removed the weights. I've used the RAT 8+ for about an hour now. Mice that are similar likely won't make the list either. After a few days of research, I have decided to start my own list, so that anyone else who searches this subreddit might also make use of it.įeel free to suggest mice for this list, but please note: "Dream Machines DM-2 Comfy S" looks almost exactly like Mionix Naos 7000, and therefore is really not making the cut, because it doesn't have a sufficient pinky rest. So I want a mouse that actually supports my fingers and keeps them off the mousepad.Īt first, people were telling me that no such mouse existed. I used to use a Mionix Naos 7000, but my preferred grip had both my ring fingertip and pinky fingertip dragging on the mousepad. I'm trying to decide which mouse to buy, and I realized that having a real pinky rest is important to me.
